Floyd Mayweather’s undefeated record in jeopardy with Las Vegas legal system. 33

Earlier today, it was reported that undefeated, IBF welterweight champion, Floyd Mayweather Jr was arrested on felony charges after his ex-girlfriend alleged that he beat her and stole her cell phone in front of their three children.  Turns out that it’s considered grand-larceny (a charge that could result in up to five years in prison) when the goods in question are valued at $250 or more.

–Insert, Carnac the Magnificent divine answer here….alleged stolen cell phone is…”an iPhone.”  Whew!  It’s a good thing that most people know that most smart phones go for $199!!  –Insert, quiet, fast disclaimer type voice here – “the $199 iPhone includes 2 year contract, early termination fees, blah…blah…blah.”
Hold on, Floyd Mayweather…name seems to ring a bell (yeah, no 10 count pun intended):
Same guy who:
Yes, one of the most highly anticipated fights of our time (which would likely also be one of the richest fights in history) has yet to happen due to squabbles over the type of drug testing to be used and failed negotiations between the two.  Pacquiao has even questioned has even questioned if this was the real reason for Mayweather not fighting. Mayweather’s last fight was held on May 1, 2010 against Shane Mosley .  Mayweather had a nice pay-day as he received $22.5 million guaranteed money from the fight, plus a bonus for PPV subscriptions which amounted to approximately $40 million.

With so much at stake, what is Mayweather thinking?!  Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, alleges that Mayweather threatened to kill her and her boyfriend.  Reportedly, he has also threatened to have other people harm her.  Mayweather has certainly talked a lot of trash  about what he intends to do to Pacquiao.  Shouldn’t he be focusing on more than an ex-girlfriend and her phone calls?  Would he rather find himself sitting in a jail cell than making boxing history?  After such an impressive career, I can’t imagine that Mayweather would want to go down like the infamous  Mike Tyson  .  Wouldn’t it be better to end his career in the footsteps of more classy fighters, like  Sugar Ray Leonard  …or even the “Pac Man ,” himself?
